Osamudiame (Mudia) Onwuka is a Human Resources professional with over 17 years working experience in several business industries: Power, Healthcare, Transportation, Aviation, Capital, Oil & Gas, and Consulting. Mudia currently works for General Electric (GE) Vernova in Nigeria, and prior to that was a Consultant with KPMG Professional Services (Nigeria). She started her career as a Higher Executive Officer with Oredo Local Government Council, Benin City. At GE Vernova, Mudia leads in multiple capacities – Gas Power SSA HR Leader, HR Business Partner (Gas Power SSA Services) and Talent Leader (Europe, Middle East & Africa); she is passionate about developing leaders/talent to achieve their fullest potential ultimately resulting in transformational results for the organization. She has learnt (and continues to learn) key strategies in aligning employee performance to business growth, in order to drive consistent business outcomes. Mudia is also an expert in Global Mobility and Immigration Compliance, including a focus on general management of expatriate employment, quota & work permit processes and localization laws in West & Central Africa. She worked in this capacity for over 10 years. In her personal life, Mudia invests her time in faith-based connections, charitable activities, coaching new and upcoming HR professionals and socializing with family and friends. She enjoys reading, self-care, traveling and all forms of art (especially music and film).
